Contour & Feature Surveys
Initially, to start any subdivision or construction project, a Contour and Feature Survey is required to map your existing property.
A Contour and Feature survey plan shows in detail all information about the property, adjoining properties and features in the street.
This survey is used by an Architect, Builder, Building Designer, Planner, Surveyor, Engineer etc. to assist with the building design, civil or subdivision design or other purpose.
Plans are available in a range of digital and hard copy formats to suit personalised needs.

Boundary Re-establishment and Pegging
If you are intending to build a house, retaining wall, fence or significant structure near or on a boundary then an accurate boundary re-establishment is essential. Clients are provided with a regulation 25A repeg certificate under the Licensed Surveyors Regulation 1961, detailing all pegs placed and the position of significant structures adjacent to the boundary.
Identification Surveys
A survey which is required for the purpose of identifying existing buildings and improvements on a parcel of land is referred to as an Identification Survey or just Ident. It is always recommended to engage a Licensed Surveyor for an Ident survey when you are purchasing a property. Through your Ident Survey you can be sure that you are not buying any problems that may make the property difficult to sell in the future or create anxiety with neighbours or public authorities before you even move in.
Building Setouts and Boundary Wall Marking
Building Setouts and Boundary wall marking are important prior to construction to ensure designs are positioned correctly on the ground. Whatever you construction project, West Coast Land Surveys will liaise with your Builder and construction workers to ensure correct positioning, preventing any costly delays.
